New Delhi: Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja welcomed debutant Adam Zampa to international cricket in a unique style on last Saturday, in an ODI against New Zealand.
During the Australian national anthem, ahead of the start of the match, Khawaja gave more than a friendly pat on the backside of teammate Zampa.
And as the footage emerged, it created a buzz on internet as the buttock grab was caught on video, in full.
However, Khawaja responded on Twitter by trying to laugh off the incident saying it was 'all consensual' and he was just welcoming the newcomer to the team.
As per the video footage, for almost 12 seconds, Khawaja fondled and squeezed Zampa's buttocks.
However, Zampa wasn't distracted by his teammate's affections as he claimed two wickets on debut in a strong performance that helped him into Australia's squad for the World T20 in India.
Here is the video.
