Joaquin Phoenix wants to be a superhero

Los Angeles: Actor-turned-rapper Joaquin Phoenix`s antics seem to get weirder every day, but he topped his previous stunts with his latest avatar of a superhero.The Academy winning actor surprised assistants at a Los Angeles store with his unusual choice of items, which included a velvet cape and mesh top.

The surprise turned into shock when he left wearing them, reported National Enquirer. "He was looking though the racks and finally grabbed a black velvet cape, black trousers and mesh top, ducked into a dressing room and began belting out rap songs", an onlooker said. Phoenix disposed off the clothes he was previously wearing and walked off in his superhero costume much to the amusement of passersby. "He mumbled madly while the girl counted out his change and offered him a bag for his own clothes. He rushed out of the store wearing his velvet cape and dumped his old clothes in the nearest trash can," the source added. Bureau Report
