Washington: Alleged threats from enraged music fans are said to have led Dr Conrad Murray, the doctor at the centre of the probe into Michael Jackson`s death, to go into hiding. A lawyer for the doctor says that he now faces financial ruin after being forced to shut his clinics, and is living in fear for his life.
"Dr Murray has received a number of death threats and is laying low. He has a bodyguard," Contactmusic quoted her as saying. Cops probing into the King of Pop`s sudden passing on June 25 are said to be considering charging Dr Murray with manslaughter, amid claims that he injected the singer with a deadly shot of powerful anaesthetic Propofol. Murray`s Las Vegas home and his Texas storage facility were both raided by police at the end of July, and on August 11, officers from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) also investigated a Las Vegas pharmacy used by Murray in their ongoing hunt for evidence.
