New Delhi: Jason Holder-led West Indies take on Virat Kohli-led India in the 1st Test of the four-match series today.

After an unbelievable run in limited-overs cricket, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli would want to carry the same form to the Test series as well.

Under Kohli's captaincy, India did well in the two Test series they played last year, where they defeated Sri Lanka on their home soil and followed it with a 3-0 win against South Africa at home.

India have a much more settled unit as compared to Windies, with most of the experienced players in their squad.

It remains to be seen whether Kohli will play Lokesh Rahul in place of Shikhar Dhawan.

Indian squad: Murali Vijay, Lokesh Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra/Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma

West Indies, on the other hand, have an inexperienced team at their disposal, with several big names missing from the playing XI.

While Devendra Bishoo and Shannon Gabriel are likely to make comebacks, four to five cricketers look all set to make their Test debut.

It will be a massive challenge for Holder to motivate his men to put a good show against India.

West Indian squad: Kraigg Brathwaite, Rajendra Chandrika, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Carlos Brathwaite, Leon Johnson/Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich (wk), Jason Holder (c), Devendra Bishoo, Shanon Gabriel, Miguel Cummins
