West Indies have salvaged some pride with rear-guard action from Carlos Brathwaite and Devendra Bishoo. They have posted a 69-run stand.

Ashwin completed yet another five-wicket haul, but Carlos Brathwaite and Devendra Bishoo stand is delaying the inevitable with a strong nine-wicket stand.

Ravichandran Ashwin clean bowled West Indies captain Jason Holder for his five-wicket haul.

This is the second time that he has taken a five-wicket haul and scored century in Test cricket, a feat no other India has ever achieved.

In the last five overs India have taken two more wickets, those of Roston Chase and Shane Dorwich, falling to Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra.

India need three more wickets to win the match, and 53 overs are left in day's play.

In the last 10 overs India have taken three more wickets to reduce West Indies to 105 for five.

Marlon Samuels was lastest wicket, becoming Ashwin's third victim.

West Indies still need another 218 runs to make India bat.


Match officials have decided to take early Lunch after rain stoppage.



OVER 30 || Score 76/2 (Chandrika 39; Samuels 22)

Marlon Samuels has started opening. He hit three fours off Ravichandran Aswhin in the 30th over.

Samuels and Rajendra Chandrika have added 55 runs for the third wicket partnership in 16.1 overs.

Then, covers arrived with rain threatening to stop the play. Strong wind! West Indies still need another 247 runs run to make India bat again.


OVER 25 || Score 49/2 (Chandrika 18; Samuels 16)

Rajendra Chandrika and Marlon Samuels added 28 runs in 11.1 overs. Scoring sequence in the last five overs: 1, 4, 1, maiden, 3.

In the 25th over, Samuels survived a huge appeal for a caught behind. Tough call from the umpire, and it denied Mohammed Shami his fifth wicket.

As of now, Virat Kohli is going with pace bowlers.


OVER 17 || Score 33/2 (Chandrika 12; Samuels 8)

India started Day 4 on a rollicking way with Umesh Yadav taking his fifth wicket.

He accounted for Darren Bravo's wicket, off the fifth ball of day. Ajinkya Rahane took a brilliant catch at  cordon.

After three good days, India will take field against West Indies on the fourth day with a hope to complete the win before the bails are removed on Sunday at Antigua.

India bowled out West Indies 243 with Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav taking four wickets each, and enforced follow-on on. Amit Mishra took a couple as Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin went wicket-less in the first innings.

Skipper Virat Kohli, who made his first ever double hundred, did well to lead the side to play an attacking game.

Staring at an innings defeat, West Indies will need the experience pair of Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels to play the innings of their lives of they are to save the first Test match.

Opener Kraigg Brathwaite, who made a valiant 74 in the first innings, was the lone batsman out in the second essay, and fourth day's play will resume with Rjendra Chandrika and Bravo carrying on from their overnight score of 21/1.

Brathwaite's wicket was taken by Ishant Sharma.
