What will West Indies do in World Cup without Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard?

What will West Indies do in World Cup without Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard?

New Delhi: No matter which format they play, West Indies have become a formidable side in all formats of the game. Reason being, they have some established names like Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy, who apart from being big-hitters, can be handy with the ball as well.

But if reports are to be believed, the team has decided to go to the ICC World Cup 2015, without Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard.

Dinanath Ramnarine, a former president of West Indies Player Association, in a series of tweets revealed that his sources have confirmed that the WICB have dropped both Bravo and Pollard for the 2015 World Cup.

In another tweet, Ramnarine re-iterated his claim.

The selectors had earlier dropped the trio of Bravo, Pollard and Darren Sammy from the five-match ODI series against South Africa, starting on January 16. The inexperienced Jason Holder, replaced Bravo as the ODI captain while Sammy was included into the squad later on.

This development has come after the West Indies team, led by Bravo, pulled out of the India tour midway through the five-match ODI series last year citing payment dispute among the players, WICB and WIPA.

Even though West Indies are yet to announce their 15-member World Cup squad, they will look like a mediocre side if they decide to leave out their champion all-rounders.
