New Delhi: Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram narrowly escaped shots fired at his car and though several reports in Pakistan claim that it was a clash between two rival gangs in Pakistan, it is questionable on whether it was a planned attack or not.
Three possibilities could be that 1) a terrorist attack, 2) road rage and 3) personal rivalry. With the amount of terrorist activities that are claiming lives in Pakistan on a regular basis, one cannot rule out the fact.
Also it can be a case of road rage as Wasim stated that, “A car hit mine, I stopped him and then his guy stepped out and fired at my car,” he told Pakistan's Express News.
Wasim stated that he did not have any threat and has noted the number plate if the car and reported it to the police.
