New Delhi: Virender Sehwag on Saturday announced his decision to join Haryana for the upcoming domestic cricket season, ending his long association with the Delhi team.
Viru decided to switch loyalties in order to open up a slot for the young crop of Delhi players.

According to a report on Cricinfo, the veteran's exit from the Delhi side was aimed at helping a youngster like Milind Kumar, benched for majority of last Ranji season due to Sehwag, get back into the team.
Sehwag is the most successful batsman from Delhi at the India level, scoring 17,000 plus runs across three formats.
