London: Fans of legendary band The Beatles have started walking across the Abbey Road to make the 40th anniversary of the Abbey Road album photoshoot.Organiser Richard Porter, who has been running tours for more than 20 years, said he had decided to mark the special occasion on popular demand.
"It`s the one scene everyone remembers. And people come from all over the world to walk across that particular crossing, following in the footsteps of the Beatles,” Sky News quoted him as saying. He added: "The Beatles have fans all around the world - probably more from America than anywhere else but a lot of Japanese are keen followers too. "And then of course now we`ve got people contacting us from the former Soviet Union and the Beatles have a growing band of fans there - they were banned as bad influences back in the day." ANI
