New Delhi: In a shocking move, Zimbabwe cricket have sacked coach Dav Whatmore as well as skipper Hamilton Masakadza ahead of upcoming limited-overs series against India.
The decision was taken following a review of the team's performance post the World Twenty20 earlier this year.
Former South African speedster Makhaya Ntini has temporarily been made the coach of the team.
Another former South African – Lance Klusener - has been appointed as the batting coach of the team.
Whatmore was handed over a four-year contract in April last year by Zimbabwe.
