Ferguson may sign off career with `Manager of the Year` crown
London: Outgoing Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to sign off his career with one final triumph after he became the favourite to win the Manager of the Year award in a poll.

Rival football bosses are set to vote the Scot, who would be retiring after United Premier League clash against Swansea today at the Old Trafford, as the person to win the award, which would be given by the League Managers Association (LMA), the Mirror reports.

A LMA member said that the boss of the current Premier League champions, who has won the LMA award three times in the past, deserves the crown again this year as a fitting tribute for his retirement.

The report further said that if he gets unanimous votes, the Red Devils boss would then receive the award at a dinner in London on May 20.

The LMA members pride themselves on rewarding outstanding leadership, not just the obvious title-winning bosses, the report added.
