ISL 2015: Kerala Blasters vs FC Pune City - Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Kerala Blasters and FC Pune City will be engrossed in an exciting battle in match No. 29 on Wednesday in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.

Kerala lie last in the table and it's desperate times for the hosts to make amends at home. Blasters will have to keep up to the threat that Pune City's fancied forward line will offer.

FC Pune City meanwhile, will try to maintain their momentum in the season so far and being the league leaders at the moment serves them an added bonus.

The JLN stadium here is expected to be packed with large amount of fans from both sides. Although it is a clash of the first and the last placed teams, fans will hope it turns out to be a tight affair.

We look at players who could make a major impact in the game for both the teams.

Bruno Perone (Kerala Blasters): The Brazilian midfielder has been an important figure for the hosts this season. His calmness and composure on the ball has been vital in creating openings against the opposition's defence. His physical attributes and dominance in the middle serves as a vital feature for Kerala. His ability to make tackles and interceptions also will be a big plus if Kerala wants to control the centre of the pitch.

Kalu Uche (FC Pune City): Uche has been amongst the goals for Pune this season and that has been crucial for Pune's success so far. His ability to find the net and trouble the goalkeeper gives Pune chances upfront. His understanding with Nick Shorey has proved to be an important aspect. Shore has provided two of Uche's assists this season and as a pair Kerala need to be wary of the threat Pune possess through these two players.
