New Delhi: Delhi Dynamos and FC Goa will be engrossed in an exciting battle in match No. 57 on Friday in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
The Lions will be eager not to repeat their mistakes against FC Goa when they saw a 2-0 lead slip to finally lose 2-3 in the last of the league matches. The loss saw Delhi finish fourth and hence meet Goa who finished as leaders.
Delhi have won just two of their last five games and manager Roberto Carlos will be wary of the threat Goa possesses.
The Gaurs meanwhile, have beaten Delhi on both occasions this term and will go into the tie as favourites.
Goa had won their first game against Delhi 2-0 at home.
Delhi need to win this tie given Goa's home advantage in the second leg.
Goa meanwhile have scored 16 goals in last five games and are a threat upfront given Delhi's lack of scoring on the other hand.
We look at players who could make a major impact in the game for both the teams.
Florent Malouda (Delhi Dynamos): The former Chelsea man has been the a key figure for the Lions this season. Malouda's impressive assists tally has been pivotal for his side as he is joint with Leo Moura (8). The 35-year-old Frenchman's statistics in ISL so far can be lauded with his passing and tackles. He will have a key role to play with his composure and vision on the ball.
Reinaldo (FC Goa): Reinaldo will hope to continue with his fine form uofront for the Gaurs.. The powerful Brazilian’s form has been nothing short of breath-taking in the second half of the league stage. The Brazilian has already netted seven goals for his side and has created several opportunities for his team-mates. Four assists so far pays dividends to that. He also has a hat-trick against Kerala Blasters FC.
