Air India beats Chirag Kerala in I-League football match

Thiruvananthapuram: Air India Mumbai beat Chirag United Kerala 2-1 in their I-League football match at the University Stadium on Sunday.

In Chirag`s first home match, Air India`s forward Mandeep scored the first goal by converting a spotkick, awarded when Isaac Bokaye of Chirag pushed back Sandesh Gadkari who was heading to the goalmouth of the rival side in 44th minute.

Air India scored its scond goal when Gadkari rattled the net by blasting a freekick in the 53rd minute.

Shabas Saleel of Chirag scored his side`s lone goal in the 77th minute.

Air India now have six points from two wins in the 12-team league match.
