New Delhi: English footballer Azeem Azam is the subject of transfer speculation - despite his limited on field exposure due to injuries.
Azam`s agents flew to Russia on Friday morning with talks to bring the left winger to the Russia`s Premier league, having suggested that it will probably be between Russia and the Middle East.
Though Azam`s agents are remaining tight-lipped as to which clubs they are speaking to in Russia, it is believed at least two teams are showing interest in the left winger.
Azam spent most part of this year training in the Middle East.
Azam`s Middle-eastern based Sports agency that now looks after his affairs as third party ownership, refused to comment on what clubs they are in talks with.
"We are trying our level best to secure Azam the best deal we can, his qualities are second to none when fit and sharp, having watched Azeem improve everyday in training and fitness, is a testament to Azeem ability," a representative revealed.
Azam who is of Arabic and Asian origin, has had a few stops and starts over the past season, having received an earlier offer from UAE and Italy in 2012/13 season. It remains unclear why Azam did not opt for the UAE offer.
Sources have revealed it was due to inept agents who were hampering that opportunity.
Azam`s representatives had warned that any agent trying to get a piece of the action will be heavily reprimanded.
