Barcelona`s Muniesa faces uncertain future

The club`s B team defender says he has had no contact from Blaugrana over his contract, which expires in one month.

Barcelona: The club`s B team defender says he has had no contact from Blaugrana over his contract, which expires in one month.
Marc Muniesa has claimed that he is being kept in the dark over his future at Barcelona. The defender`s appearances in the Barcelona senior team have been limited due to injury which have kept him on the sidelines and it seems that time has finally run out at Camp Nou. The Spaniard has a matter of weeks left on his contract with the Catalan club but is intent on his desire to stay in Catalunya despite no contract offer materialising. "The fact is that I know nothing," the 21-year-old told Marca. "I would like to stay, I have always said that. "But here they haven`t told me anything. I live in hope. If I am not here, I`ll play somewhere else, but my future is uncertain. "It`s the people upstairs who will decide, the coaching staff and the board. I always say that I want to play here, it`s been my dream since I was a little boy. And I`ll do everything right up to the end to try to convince them. "My family is getting worried now. They can`t believe they`re not telling us anything; they are also big Barcelona fans and they expected that after all the years I`ve been at the club they`d give me an answer, whether it means I stay or go." The academy youth product has been linked with Ajax but the defender says will find it hard to leave the club he joined at the age of 10. "I haven`t heard anything directly, it’s just press talk," he said. "I am quite calm. I know that if I`m fit, I can play a bit wherever I might be. A loan move [is possible] as it would be nice not to leave altogether; it would mean that I‘d still be part of Barca." Goal.com
