London: Former Manchester United playerDavid Beckham has backed new manager David Moyes to turn things around atManchester United after they suffered the worst season start in almost 25 years recently.

According to Metro.co.uk, despite questions being asked of Moyes` ability to manage a side expected to challenge for top honours, Beckham insists he has no concerns over the appointment of the Scot.

The former England captain said that there was always going to be that moment when Sir Alex Ferguson retired and the question was that who was going to take over and was the club going to be the same force they had been over the last 20 years.

He said that it was a transitional period and that Moyes is a very good manager.
