Bendtner vows to never return to Arsenal
London: Sunderland loan signing Nicklas Bendtner insists that he will never return to Arsenal after enduring limited opportunities under manager Arsene Wenger.
Bendtner, who spent seven years with Arsenal, completed a loan deal to take him to Sunderland on the last day of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old says that Wenger never gave him an opportunity after he crashed his Aston Martin two years ago.
“I will never go back to Arsenal. If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again. After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team,” he told a leading daily.
“That is over 1½ years with no real chance to prove myself. I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer. I will find a new club, but I will not go back to Arsenal, that’s for sure,” he added.
