Manchester: German giants Bayern Munich have reportedly contacted Manchester United with a bid of 8 million pounds for striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Alex Ferguson’s continuing ignorance has added fuel to the speculations that the striker is on his way out of the club and his 31 appearances for the club so far this season are evidence to that.
The out of favour Bulgarian has been on the radar of quite a few clubs from Germany and Russia, and according to media reports, his agents are in talks with various clubs including his former club Bayer Leverkusen where he scored 91 goals in 201 appearances.
Even though Berbatov was the joint winner of Golden Boot award last season scoring 20 goals for Manchester United, the sparkling partnership of Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez caused him losing confidence of the United boss.
In his 144 appearances for United, Berbatov has scored 55 goals including four hat tricks.
