Ghana: Confederation of African Football (CAF) chiefs have suspended Benin for two years from youth football competitions after the west African nation fielded ineligible players, the Benin Football Federation (FBF) said Friday.

CAF acted on information supplied by Mali following Benin`s 1-0 win in the CAF under-17s youth competition in Porto Novo on July 19.

Benin had then qualified for the next round by virtue of a 1-0 aggregate victory following a 0-0 draw in Bamako but the result has now been overturned.
