Casillas unsure who to back for Ballon d`Or

Madrid: Spain and Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has admitted that he has no idea who he is going to back for this year`s Ballon d`Or.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper has been touted as a major contender for the award himself, having led La Roja to glory at Euro 2012, just six weeks after lifting the Liga title with Los Blancos. However, his club-mate Cristiano Ronaldo is also in the running, not to mention current titleholder Lionel Messi, and Casillas knows that he has a difficult decision ahead of him. "I have to analyse it well," the 31-year-old told reporters during a visit to Caracas. "It`s a tough vote because there are many very good players. "But I have plenty of time to think about it as I don`t have to vote until December." Casillas refused to be drawn on his own prospects of landing the most prestigious individual honour in the game today but he did admit that he is happy to carry the flag for shot-stoppers everywhere. "So many people also enjoy a good save with a great dive from a goalkeeper," he added, alluding to the fact that the podium places are usually occupied by attacking midfielders and forwards.
