Bangalore: Chirag Kerela defeated hosts Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) by a solitary goal to open their I-League campaign on a positive note on Saturday.
CK Vineet scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute after capitalising on a defensive lapse from HAL.
After the change of ends, HAL went all out attacking in search of the equaliser but for some stubborn defending from Chirag`s central defenders -Dzisah and Bookaye.
