Vasco: Chirag United and Churchill Brothers
would look to continue the winning run when they take on Viva
Kerala and Sesa Football Academy respectively in their Group B
Federation Cup games at the Tilak Maidan here on Thursday.

Chirag managed full points against SESA through Denson
Devidas` lone strike but not before facing some stiff
resistance, especially in the second half, from the young
Goans.

Though not too impressed with the solitary-goal win,
Chirag coach Subrata Bhattacharya said the result was good
enough.

"It was our first match so we struggled with rhythm. But
what matters is that we have started our campaign with a win
and that is important," Bhattacharya said.

Viva Kerala, who suffered a 0-4 drubbing at the hands of
Churchill Brothers, is low on confidence, and Bhattacharya
wants his wards to utilise that to their advantage.

"Hopefully our boys take advantage and score an early
goal to shun off their challenge," Bhattacharya added.

Churchill, who started their campaign with a resounding
win, will meet SESA.

The new-look Churchill team, without Ogba Kalu, lacked
creativity in the midfield often failing to open up the rival
defence. But striker Okolie Odafe and Koko Sakibo`s strikes
ensured an easy win for the former champions.
