Margao: Musli Power Churchill Brothers hold home advantage, have a great opportunity to qualify into the round of 16 of the AFC Cup if they beat Al Hilal of Yemen
tomorrow in their return match of group `B`, played at Nehru
Stadium, Fatorda, Margao.
Churchill Bros who beat Al Hilal in the away match
after drawing their home match against Kuwait SC leads the
table with four points and a victory tomorrow will take them
to seven points, ahead of defending champion Kuwait SC and a
place in the pre-quarter finals against the runners-up of
Group `D`.
Churchill Bros will be fielding the same team that
played last except for Vashum Reishami who is out due to
double booking, his place will be taken by Jaison Valles.
Churchill Bros coach Carlos Pereira is confident of his
team’s victory. "The boys are playing very well. We have
beaten them in their own backyard, the condition here suits us
which should make us the favourite to win," stated Churchill
coach Carlos Pereira.
Felix has been playing well of late and is combining
well along with Odafe Okolie. He has been scoring goals and
has scored goal along with Odafe against Al Hilal which has
been inspiring to team`s success. Hope the boys continue to
keep the same form tomorrow and win the match, the 6-0 routing
to JCT has been the perfect platform for Churchill Bros
against the visitors who will be missing their key players in
tomorrow’s tie.
"The visitors are a good side and have a good midfield
but lacked a quality striker like Odafe Okolie who can kill
the match when chances come their way," stated Carlos Pereira.
