Dias likely to sign deal with Chhetri`s agent

New Delhi: Indian football team winger Steven
Dias is likely to sign a deal with Yogesh Joshee, the man
behind national team striker Sunil Chhetri`s signing with
Major League Soccer side Kansas City Wizards.

Dias, who had parted ways with Eddie Rock, his former
agent, is now very serious about pursuing his club career in
United States.

"I`m hopeful of signing a deal with him (Joshee). But I
want to first do well in the Asian Cup and go to USA on the
basis of my performance in Doha. If I perform well in the
Asian Cup, it will be much easier for me to get a club there
(in USA)," Dias said today.

Asked why things didn`t work out with Rock, Dias said,
"He (Rock) tried to get me into one of the clubs in America
just before we parted ways in February, but I was not sure if
he would have succeeded in getting me a club there that time."

Rock had earlier promised to find Dias a club in Sweden
but without any success.

"I want to be very sure before taking such a step and I
don`t want to experience what Sunil had at Coventry (City),"
Dias said.

Chhetri`s arrival had, last year, created quite a buzz at
Coventry but the India striker, despite impressing the
technical team, had failed to clear the trials.
