Bastia: Much-travelled French striker Djibril Cisse is set to return to France after agreeing an 18-month deal with Corsican side Bastia, a source close to the club confirmed on Monday.
The 32-year-old international forward has been playing at Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League since July, but is keen to return to France to better his chances of making the French World Cup squad.
Cisse, has broken his contract with the Russian club and agreed an 18-month deal with the Ligue 1 side. He will travel to Bastia on Tuesday and train with his new teammates on Wednesday.
Cisse`s previous clubs include Auxerre, Liverpool, Marseille, Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers followed by spells in Qatar and Russia.
Bastia, currently 13th in the French top flight, would be his 10th club as a professional.
Cisse, who has played 186 Ligue 1 games scoring 94 goals, returns to France six years after leaving Marseille.
