DSA names 20-member squad for National U-21 football

New Delhi: Defender Pawan Kumar will lead a 20-member Delhi football squad in the 19th National Football

Under-21 Championship for Dutta Ray Trophy to be held at Gurgaon and Faridabad from February 11-28. Midfielder Monu Chaudhary was named as vice-captain of the team by the DSA selection committee after a 20-day open trial cum coaching camp held at Ambedkar Stadium here. Delhi have been placed in Cluster VIII along with Assam, Tamil Nadu, Daman and Diu, and will play their matches at Gurgaon. The Squad: Goal Keepers: Srikant Singh,Suraj Sharma, Gobind Sethi, Vishwajit Negi. Defenders: Ratan Kumar, Mukesh Nathani, Pawan Kumar (Captain), Rohit Singh, Ashish Rawat, Arvind Mandrwal. Mid-Fielders: Monu Chaudhary (Vice Captain), Jitender Bisht, Manish Thapa, Kushagra Rastogi, Umesh, Saurav Singh. Forwards: Ankit Sharma, Ajay Barthwal, Abhishek Kumar, Balwant Singh. PTI
