Kolkata: East Bengal will look to continue their winning run and close on the gap with the leaders Dempo, when they take on minnows Pailan Indian Arrows in a lopsided round 10 I-League fixture on Sunday.
The developmental side of AIFF, Arrows have been struggling for a win this season and the task would become tougher against East Bengal who are fresh from a come from behind 2-1 win over Dempo. Both the teams have played against each other a few times recently, and are familiar with each others` style of play. East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan did not want to take their opposition lightly. "They are a talented and good set of players but we need to continue our good form and get the full three points from this match." East Bengal have a couple of injury niggles in forward Tolgay Ozbey and defender Uga Okpara who did not attend practice this morning because of a stomach problem. "We are not sure if he (Okpara) will play tomorrow," Morgan said. Gurwinder Singh and Nirmal Chettri are likely to start in the back if Okpara is not available for the match. Arrows goalkeeping Coach Tanumoy Bose said: "We have had five draws and we are playing good football, though we are yet to get that elusive win.” "If we win one match things might open up for us. We have nothing to lose and will play our attacking style of football that we are now known for," Bose said. East Bengal occupy third place with 19 points from nine matches, while Arrows lie on the 13th position in the standings with five points. PTI
