East Bengal coach not worried about semifinal opponent

New Delhi: East Bengal`s Mehtab Hossain has
been ruled out of the semifinal of 123rd Durand Cup after
receiving his second yellow card of the tournament during his
team`s 2-1 win over Salgaocar here on Monday.

Hossain dished out a clinical performance in the midfield
and was instrumental in setting up the team`s second goal
against the Goans at the Ambedkar Stadium here.

"I don`t know who will replace him (Hossain) in the next
match but we will decide in the next 24 hours," said coach
Trevor Morgan.

Throwing light on the match, a delighted Morgan said,
"It`s fantastic. They have played outstanding football,
especially in the second half. It`s for the second time that
they have come back from a goal down."

"We have achieved our target, that is to reach the
semifinal, and now our goal will be to make the final," Morgan

Asked about Orgy Penn`s performance in the midfield, the
coach said, "He was outstanding."

The red and gold brigade has been in red hot form of
late, winning 18 matches in a row and the coach,
understandably, was not worried about who they will clash with
in the semifinal.

"It doesn`t make any difference," Morgan said.

Australian recruit and prolific scorer for East Bengal,
Tolgay Ozbey seconded his coach when asked about his
preference for semifinal opposition.

"It doesn`t matter who we play in the semifinal," Ozbey,
who scored once in the match against Salgaocar today, said.

"We are delighted with our performance. Winning 18
matches in a row, it`s an amazing feeling and we hope to
continue our winning run in the semifinal," Ozbey added.
