England will try best to hit bull’s eye during 2014 Brazil WC: Hodgson

London: England manager Roy Hodgson has claimed the Three Lions will be aiming for the bull’s eye during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Hodgson likened England’s bid to end years of hurt since their only major tournament success, the World Cup in 1966, to the struggles of an amateur darts player, the Daily Star reports. Hodgson claimed there is always hope but what you have to do to win tournaments is make sure you’re regularly among the ones who are up there with a possibility of winning, adding you could compare it to someone who is an amateur darts player.

Hodgson added the more darts a players throws in and around the centre, one day he will get it in the bulls eye and if he’s spreading them around the board your chances will be less than if he’s getting them in the 25 circle. England are currently second in World Cup qualifying Group H, two points off leaders Montenegro with six games to go. Hodgson further said first, of course, England must qualify for the tournament and after that it will be important that England gives a very good account of themselves in Brazil and, who knows, once the team is there they might have a chance of winning it.
