New Delhi: Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has criticised the side's style of football and blames that for their miseries this season in the Premier League.

Speaking to NDTV, Ferdinand said that, “The biggest problem for Manchester United this season has been the style of football.”

Manchester United who have seen some attacking flair recently, see themselves in fifth position in the EPL table.

Ferdinand who is in the capital as part of the global commitment to support football amongst the youth. He is here alongside former England legend Robbie Savage with The Supporters Club, BT s charitable initiative, and engaged in multiple activities involving children including training sessions and interactive events.

Meanwhile, Leicester City who were fighting relegation battle last season have played some breathtaking football this term to lead the standings. The Foxes have continued their march and saw themselves beating Manchester City last week.

Ferdinand feels that they have capitalised on the inconsistencies of big teams.

“Leicester City have been able to capitalise on the inconsistencies of the other big teams.”

Meanwhile, with the Euro Championships to start in June, Ferdinand feels that England have no chance at Euro, but can win if they reach the last-eight of the tourney.

“England have no chance at Euro. If they reach the quarter-finals, they can win the tournament,” said Ferdinand.
