New Delhi: Everton squashed hopes of Chelsea in one of the summer's long transfer saga. John Stones will not be allowed to leave Everton under any circumstance, claimed club chairman Bill Kenwright after a third bid from Chelsea was rejected.
Stones who has been linked with Chelsea had earlier seen two bids rejected with Everton claiming that he isn't for sale at any cost. Chelsea's pursuit of Stones looks all but over after a third bid in excess of GBP 30m was rejected again on Thursday.
Kenwright mentioned in an official letter that the club has been resolute in rejecting all offers from fellow Premier League club (Chelsea) and will be a member of Everton's squad.
Everton posted the letter on their Twitter handle.
