Premier League 2015-16: Not Arsenal FC but Tottenham Hotspur are title favorites, says Claudio Ranieri

New Delhi: A defeat at the hands of Manchester United on the weekend severely dented Arsenal's hopes of winning the Premier League.

From the looks of it, the 2015-16 season is now a three-horse race between Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and the Gunners.

Despite Arsene Wenger's side boasting of more firepower than the other two, manager of the league leaders believes that Spurs are in fact favorites to lift the trophy this season.

"Tottenham are strong in every situation. Everyone is speaking about Leicester but nobody about Tottenham," Claudio Ranieri told British media.

"Tottenham, in my opinion, are favourites. When they defend and when they attack, they know what they want.

"We are the surprise, that is fantastic, a good energy, but if we are realistic the real competitors are Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham."

The Foxes with 54 points are ahead of Spurs by 2, while Arsenal are third on 51 with Manchester City in fourth on 47.

Leicester host 13-placed West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday, while Spurs face a challenging trip to sixth-placed West Ham United the following day.
