New Delhi: Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko joined Italian giants AS Roma on a season long loan with a view of a GBP 14m permanent move. The Bosnian striker who spent four and a half seasons at City bid farewell to Manuel Pelegrini's team in quest for a new challenge.
Dzeko is the third striker to leave City this season after Alvaro Negredo who made his loan move to Valencia permanent and Stevan Jovetic who joined Inter Milan.
Dzeko who scored 71 goals in 185 matches for City wrote an emotional letter as he said farewell to the club and its fans. He shared it on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.
