New Delhi: In their last game at the historic Upton Park ground, West Ham United registered a convincing 3-2 win over Manchester United.

But the match will be remembered for the unfortunate events that unfolded before the match.

The Manchester United team bus arriving their Premier League match against the Hammers was attacked with beer bottles and other items on its way to to the 112-year-old stadium.

The footage, which was posted on social media by midfielder Jesse Lingard, shows the players swearing and shouting as projectiles hit the windows, with some of the glass appearing broken.

During the match, bottles were also thrown at United goalkeeper David de Gea, while another fan invaded the pitch to confront the Spaniard.
