London: Chelsea is reportedly looking to sell their record 50 million-pound buy Fernando Torres this summer, despite this season being the best of his career at Stamford Bridge with 22 goals.
However, Torres had netted just seven times in the Premier League, the last coming against Aston Villa in December, for which the Blues hope that Sunday`s match against Everton will be his final one, The Sun reports.
The report further said that Torres has had 34 goals in 130 appearances since signing from Liverpool in January 2011, adding that it equals to more than two million pounds a goal after adding his 22 million-pound pay to the 50 million-pound transfer fee.
However, the report said that Chelsea`s willingness to sell could come as a shock to Torres as he wants to stay.
Torres, 29, is paid 170,000 pounds-a-week and the Blues face the prospect of either topping up a contract at a new club or paying him a lump sum to go away, the report added.
