Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has admitted the Blues have been poor throughout the season, adding if the European champions doesn`t get their act together now then they might have to pay the price at the end of the season.

London: Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has admitted the Blues have been poor throughout the season, adding if the European champions doesn`t get their act together now then they might have to pay the price at the end of the season. As Ivanovic prepares for Sunday`s FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford, he fears that things could soon get a lot worse for Chelsea unless they recapture the fighting spirit that made them champions of Europe less than a year ago.
Ivanovic`s rallying call came in the wake of Chelsea`s 13th defeat of the season when they lost 1-0 at Steaua Bucharest in Thursday`s Europa League clash. The Serb said they have to be honest with each other and admit that a lot of things are not going how they would like them to, adding they are not playing at the level they know they are capable of and that is becoming normal for them. Ivanovic added they have to change things very quickly, adding time is running out for them if they want to finish the season at the highest level. Ivanovic said if they want to change things they are going to have to show more character, adding they need to play as a team and show some fighting spirit. Ivanovic further added they are 19 points behind Manchester United in the league and that gap means that they have not done well this season, adding that is something for everyone to think about. ANI
