Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Real Madrid?

Madrid: There has been much speculation as to whether Cristiano Ronaldo will be heading back to Old Trafford, given his feelings for his old club, but recent reports seem to suggest that the difficulty of such a deal and his agent Jorge Mendes’ advice may mean Ronaldo will stay on at Real Madrid for another season. With a little over two years to go on his contract, it seems increasingly likely that he’ll run it down by another year which would only make any potential transfer that much more affordable for clubs like Manchester United. Comments from key members from both clubs would corroborate such an outcome as Sir Alex also admitted, ahead of United’s recent encounter with Real, that much as he’d love to have the Portuguese winger back, the financial aspect of such a deal may be beyond United’s capacity. It is understood that cash-rich PSG and Man City would also be interested in Ronaldo, but given his inclinations for the Red Devils, a move to their ‘noisy neighbours’ can certainly be ruled out.
