Ferguson says losing title to City reason behind Manchester United’s resurgence

London: Alex Ferguson has revealed losing Premier League title last season sent shockwaves through Manchester United.

Ferguson however insisted that one of the most painful setbacks in the team`s history has made them stronger and more determined to stop their rivals from becoming the dominant force in English football. Fergie and the team were left stunned almost 12 months ago when Sergio Aguero`s stoppage-time goal saw Manchester City snatch the title away. Fergie admitted the crushing blow was like a tremor, but he insisted the experience has been used as motivation for United to bounce back in stunning fashion.
