London: England`s talismanic forward Wayne Rooney has set his sights on reaching 200 goals for Manchester United.
At 27, he believes his best years are ahead of him and insists he is still feeling fresh after a stop-start season at Old Trafford.
Rooney said that `at this age most players start to peak, from now and across the next four or five years. Hopefully that`ll be the case and the team will benefit from that.`
The striker said he has not played as many games as he normally would have at this point in the season and he does feel fresh and ready for that battle until the end of the season, the Sun reports.
According to the report, Madrid is not all Rooney has in his sights.
He is closing in on the dual target of 400 games and 200 goals for Manchester United.
And boss Ferguson has set him a target of 25 goals for the season, with Saturday`s cracker putting him on 14.
