Venky’s Blackburn Rovers relegated from Premier League

Zeenews Sports Bureau

London: Blackburn Rovers went down 0-1 to Wigan Athletic at home on Monday to end 11-year stay in the English Premier League.

However, the victory secured Wigan survival in the top flight. They scored the only goal of the game through Antolin Alcaraz`s header three minutes from time as they recorded their sixth win in eight league games.

Blackburn Rovers were bought by an Indian company V H Group in November 2010 under the name of Venky`s London Limited for £23 million.
