New Delhi: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has conceded that Chelsea are the overwhelming favourites to win the English Premier League title. He said that at current form, the London club is also on course for 100 points haul this season.

Wenger was speaking after his Arsenal's 1-2 defeat to Swansea at Liberty Stadium. With the defeat, Gunners are at sixth place with 17 points from 11 matches. They have lost twice in the last five matches in the league.

“At the moment Chelsea are on course for 100 points this season. If you look at the number of points they have, if they keep that up nobody will catch them, that’s for sure. There doesn’t look to be anybody capable to challenge them at the moment,” he said.

Table toppers Chelsea are on 29 points, four points more from the surprise package Southampton at second place. Wenger added that if Chelsea continue in this vein, no team will be able to catch up with them.

The Frenchman also bemoaned Gunners' lack of fighting spirit. Alexis Sanchez provided the lead just after the hour-mark through a brilliant move involving Danny Welbeck against Swansea. But the home team responded with urgency scoring the equaliser from a beautifully executed free-kick by Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 75th minute. And within three minutes, the home side found the winning goal from Bafetimbi Gomis, who arrived just a couple of minutes ago.

“It’s unfortunate to lose a game like that but we were not rigorous until the end. We produced quite a decent performance for 75 minutes but you have to last 90 minutes,” he summed up.
