Spain international Roberto Soldado was back amongst goals after scoring the winner for Tottenham Hotspur against Everton on Sunday in the Premier League. Soldado who scored his first goal of the season in the EPL so far, has only managed to score thrice for the London club in all competitions.

New Delhi: Spain international Roberto Soldado was back amongst goals after scoring the winner for Tottenham Hotspur against Everton on Sunday in the Premier League. Soldado who scored his first goal of the season in the EPL so far, has only managed to score thrice for the London club in all competitions.

After ending the drought in the domestic campaign, Soldado thanked the fans of the club.

The 30m GBP striker who moved from Valencia last season, said that the moment the referee blew the whistle at half time, the fans sung his name and the gesture brought tears to his eyes.

The Spaniard expressed his views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

He also tweeted saying the win gave the club three crucial points.

The win at White Hart Lane saw Spurs moving to seventh in the table, two points below fourth placed Manchester United. Spurs face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the mid-week clash on Wednesday.
