New Delhi: Arsenal gave a big account of themselves after stunning defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad in the Premier League encounter on Sunday.
Santi Cazorla was the master of Arsenal's charge, as Arsene Wenger's side churned in a classy script to show their mettle away from home. Cazorla scored a penalty and then set up Giroud with an assist for the second goal from a well taken free kick. Wenger's determined approach in holding back and playing on the counter paid dividends as lacklustre City slipped in their title pursuit.
Arsenal meanwhile climbed to fifth and trail Southampton and Manchester United who are placed at third and fourth by three and one points respectively.
Arsenal players Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil acknowledged the side's effort in garnering out a special victory in the blue half of Manchester.
They expressed their delight through social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Meanwhile, Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin stated that the team defended really well as an unit and he cited that as the key for the victory.
