============================================================
Chelsea will be the happiest team as they have a match in hand and can take the lead up to 8 points atop. They take on Spurs today in the League Cup final at Wembley.

85'- Yaya loses the ball after a slack approach and Coutinho's attempted shot takes Kompany's deflection and goes for a corner. Hart collects the corner.
84'- Adam Lallana gets a yellow card for bringing down Milner.
83'- Kolo Toure is getting ready and he replaces Alberto Moreno. He will face his brother Yaya for the first time in his professional career. Lampard too comes on for Nasri.
79'- Chance missed by Aguero. Silva lofts a ball into the area, looking for Bony. And Skrtel’s header falls to Aguero, who takes it down on the right and then shoots from a close angle from the right. The ball whiskers past the far post.
78'- Emre Can gives away a free-kick after handling the ball. Wilfried Bony meanwhile replaces Fernandinho. James Milner's free kick is cleared and Liverpool try on the counter but Sturridge's pass is intercepted.
75'- GOAL!!! (Coutinho) What a goal here from the No. 10. He collects the ball from Sterling on the left and makes inroad in the middle to shoot in the right top corner past Hart off his right foot. Brilliant!
73'- Markovic makes a good run from the right and fires a decent cross but Lallana slips after trying an acrobatic shot and City clear danger.
71'- Nasri superbly gets into space down the City right, but his delayed cross is cleared. Daniel Sturridge isn't yet on and continues to warm up.
68'- Aguero hasn't seen much of the ball off late. Also Liverpool have mastered the midfield area so far and City are unable to break them. The game is poised nicely though!

GARY LINEKER'S THOUGHTS ON FORWARDS!
Must be a dream like existence playing up front in the modern game. So easy to score goals now.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 1, 2015
Half time here at Anfield and its tied at 1 a piece.
45'+1: Lallana causes more problems as he finds Sterling in City's defensive area and the latter tries to go for a shot but it crawls to Hart.
45'- Raheem Sterling drifts down the Liverpool left channel once again and he wins a corner off Pablo Zabaleta. Joe Allen's corner delivery is poor and Zabaleta heads it away from danger.
43'- Coutinho fires a shot from 30 yards but shoots it straight to Hart.
40'- Offside for Sterling who looked to purchase something from a good Liverpool play.
37'- Kolarov then looks for Aguero from the left with a cross but Mignolet collects it quickly.
35'- Liverpool get swifter as Markovic scoops a ball over the City defence to Lallana, who drags a first-time volley wide.
32'- Edin Dzeko blasts one from 25 yards. Liverpool, need to stick together here and find a solution for magician David Silva who is finding more and more space in central positions.
TWEET REACTION SO FAR!
What a game this is - love the intensity from both teams!
— Philip Neville (@fizzer18) March 1, 2015
Delightful goal for City, manufactured brilliantly by Aguero, finished confidently by Dzeko. Cracking game.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 1, 2015
30'- Half and hour gone and City is getting some momentum here. Liverpool need to be alert!
27'- Liverpool get a corner on the right and nothing comes out of it before Allen commits a foul to stop City's counter and he isn't booked.
25'- GOAL!!! (Edin Dzeko) Magnificent from City. Liverpool's back three don't support each other and there is nobody to keep it tight at the back. Toure gets the ball to Silva who starts the move but Aguero finds space and gives the ball to Dzeko who is perfectly placed to shoot smoothly past Mignolet. The finish was stylish.
22'- Coutinho curves a lovely pass down the left, to look for Sterling. He goes past Mangala and his low ball goes across the six-yard box and away from goal. The ball reaches Markovic, but his cross sails over for a goal-kick.
20'- Man City's skipper Kompany makes another mistake, and he looks awful so far. Meanwhile, Alberto Moreno cuts inside from the Liverpool left and shoots wide. Attempt missed.
18'- Both defenses will need to stake their authority as either teams look quiet vulnerable behind.
16'- Kompany looks edgy at the moment. City need to step up here.
14'- Cotinho attempts a long range shot and misses the target. Better from Liverpool and the atmosphere is electirc.
Raheem Sterling assisted Henderson and all of the latter's goal this term has been assisted by the former. Partnership!
13'- Sergio Aguero tries to force in a reply for the visitors and he ends up hitting the post. He got on to a long ball over the top and with Mignolet hesitating, unsure where to move, he dabs an early shot past the Liverpool goalkeeper from the left.
11'- GOAL!! (Henderson) Vincent Kompany is robbed just inside his own half and Liverpool move it quickly forward through Coutinho and Sterling. The ball then reaches to Jordan Henderson who from 25 yards out, cuts inside and hits a sensational right-foot shot that enters the top corner. Brilliant!
9'- Chance for Liverpool once again as Lallana hammers a stunning shot into the net from an angle on the left, but he is correctly adjudged offisde.
8'- Zabaleta's cross goes awry and a nice run from Liverpool through Coutinho and Lallana who plays a through ball to the latter and he shoots it straight to Hart.
7'- Kolarov attempts a low cross from the left and Liverpool clear before the ball falls on Toure's feet whose ambitious shot goes nowhere.
6'- City keeping hold off the ball well and Liverpool so far remain in a shadow of their rivals. They need to up the tempo.
5'- City get a throw in their defensive half. Lallana puts pressure on Kolarov and fouls him. City have the ball again.
2'- The whistle blows and the teams get the game going. City get the early momentum as Dejan Lovren sends the ball out of the line rather sheepishly. City get the throw and a lovely move by Dzeko to give the ball to Aguero who is offisde.
The Anfield crowd roar is being heard out and loud.
The players are ready and they come out of the tunnel. Liverpool in their usual red and City in their light blue kit.

TEAM BUILD UP:
Philippe Coutinho will be expected to be in the playing XI after being rested against Besiktas in mid-week action in the Europa League.
Worry lies in the form of Jordan Henderson, whose ankle problem will be reassessed. Meanwhile, Lazar Markovic is also available after suspension.
For City, Yaya Toure is the key player returning after missing the midweek Champions League defeat against Barcelona through suspension.
January transfer window signing Wilfried Bony could be in line for his first start after making his City debut in the CL off the bench last weekend.
PREVIEW:
Both teams want to bounce back from the mid-week losses in European competitions.
Liverpool are quite in a run of games in the domestic campaign and will look to cause problems for City who look vulnerable at the back. The duo of Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge will be something to watch out for the Citizens.
City meanwhile, have a great chance of cutting the lead of Chelsea to just two points. The selection will be interesting from Manuel Pellegrini as to who starts. A 4-4-2 selection in formation could be likely.
