Liverpool's Mario Balotelli not in Italy squad

New Delhi: Liverpool's new striker, Mario Balotelli will not be part of the Italian squad for the international friendly against the Netherlands.
Despite carrying a suspension for two yellow cards in the recent Brazil World Cup, the former Manchester City player could have featured in the friendly. However, new Italy manager Antonio Conte choose the leave the controversial striker.
The 24-year-old joined Liverpool following a GBP 16m move from AC Milan as the embattling Serie A giants are repotedly focusing on rebuilding their squad with the arrival of new manager in Filippo Inzaghi.
After confirming his move to Anfield, Balotelli said that it was a wrong decision on his part to leave England. He is the obvious replacement to another controversial but hugely talented Louis Suarez. Last season, Suarez scored 31 goals to help Liverpool return to Champions League, bofore leaving for Barcelona.
Balotelli will wear number 45 in the Reds shirt and the Merseyside side is hoping the Italian can replicate Louis Suarez's scoring form. Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers has handed him Reds debut on Sunday against Tottenham.
