Ronald Koeman, Harry Kane bag January awards in Premier League
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman was awarded with the manager of the month award for his club's excellent run in January. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was adjudged player of the month award.

New Delhi: Southampton manager Ronald Koeman was awarded with the manager of the month award for his club's excellent run in January. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was adjudged player of the month award.
Southampton won all its three matches in the month of January which included two stunning victories against Arsenal and Manchester United respectively. They had also overcome Newcastle United in the month.

Koeman stated that the award was a big compliment to the whole team and everybody are working hard.

Koeman feels that the win against Arsenal on New Year's day gave the players a lot of confidence and the win at Old Trafford against Manchester United was unbelievable.

He also lauded the team for their victory against a determined Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane who has been emphatic this season for Spurs, mastered the scoring affair by netting vital braces against Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion. Spurs won three matches and lost one during the month.
The English youngster has had a blistering start to 2015 and was praised by England manager Roy Hodgson on Friday who is going to call him for international duty in March.

Kane has scored 23 goals in all competitions this term and is the third highest scorer in the Premier League this season with 13 goals. He is tied with QPR's Charlie Austin who won the December award.
