New Delhi: Darren Fletcher who joined West Bromwich Albion on the final hours of the January transfer window on Monday, was wished luck by teammates Ander Herrera and David de Gea. Fletcher was one of Manchester United's longest serving players having made 342 appearances for the club.

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera wished Fletcheron his new adventure with West Brom. He also thanked the Scot for his help since his arrival at the club in 2014. Alongside Herrera was also goalkeeper David de Gea who wished Fletcher luck.

The duo posted their views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

On Monday Fletcher bid adieu to the club he had joined at the age of 15. Fletcher won nine trophies and three FA Community Shields with United since his debut with the senior team.

The 31-year-old made only four starts under manager Louis van Gaal and wanted regular playing time. He had stated that the club tried their best to keep him but he had to find a new team to play more games.

Fletcher was poised to join West Ham United earlier in the transfer window but the deal collapsed. West Brom who were linked with the midfielder then got him to sign a two and a half year contract.

Fletcher will play under manager Tony Pulis and serves as a good addition for the Baggies.
