Since 1978, Everton made their best ever start to a new season. Credit to Ronald Koeman. Now, they won the last four games, yes, following that opening day 1-1 draw with Tottenham.

Second in the table, two points behind run-away leaders Manchester City.

SECOND-HALF

Everton (Barry 24'; Coleman 42'; Lukaku 45+1') 3 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: That's full-time from Goodison Park, all three points to Everton.

Great day for Gareth Barry. A goal to celebrate his 600th EPL game.

Both the teams have made two changes each. For Everton, Valencia on for Lukaku, Deulofeu for Miralles. For Middlesbrough, Nsue off, Nugent on; Fischer on; Ranirez off.

Everton (Barry 24'; Coleman 42'; Lukaku 45+1') 3 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: Ten minutes into the second half, score still remains unchanged.

After conceding that contentious own goal early in the first half, Everton fought back brilliantly scoring three times, including Gareth Barry's strike in his 600th game. His goal set the tempo for a enthralling 25 minutes game.

The had 54% possession, and nine attempts of which five hit the target. Middlesbrough got five attempts, with one hitting the target.

FIRST-HALF

Everton (Barry 24'; Coleman 42'; Lukaku 45+1') 3 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: Then, Romelu Lukaku helped himself with a goal, a lucky one with his boot getting a fine touch, a minimal contact after a brilliant cross from Yannick Bolasie.

And for game, both the players got in the act claiming the goal.

Everton (Barry 24'; Coleman 42') 2 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: Everton have turned the game on its head with a brilliant solo goal from Seamus Coleman. The Irish defender got the ball from Romelu Lukaku juts outside the box, and produced a clinical left footed finish after getting past couple of visiting defenders.

Everton (Barry 24') 1 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: The lead stood for couple of minutes as landmark man Gareth Barry half-volleyed a loose ball from a corner.

A goal to mark his 600th EPL appearance.

Everton 0 - 1 (22' (OG) Stekelenburg) Middlesbrough: It looked like a foul, with Spaniard Alvaro Negredo making contact with Everton goalie Maarten Stekelenburg while going for a header.

Referee Lee Mason had a blank look and awarded the goal, even as some home crowd booed.

And next up is Everton vs Middlesbrough

17 goals in four games. That's a goal fest. Supremely confident Manchester City still unbeaten, and scoring a plenty, extended the lead at the top of table to five points from second placed Arsenal.

Defending champions Leicester got themselves to second win of the season, are now in ninth with seven points, eight behind the leaders City.

West Brom also got their second win, and they condemned Hammers to third successive defeat.

SECOND-HALF

Hull City (Snodgrass 79') 1 - 4 (19', 83'Sanchez; 55' Walcott; Xhaka 90+3') Arsenal: 35m GBP man announced his arrival with a screamer, from just inside the Hull half, some 30 metres from the goal. Goal of the season so far. That's Granit Xhaka for Arsenal.

Manchester City (de Bruyne 15'; Iheanacho 25'; Sterling 48'; Gundogan 66') 4 - 0 Bournemouth: RED CARD! Winning game, easy game but Duran Nolito failed to see the brighter side, and involved in a tussle with Adam Smith. Sent off by referee Jonathan Moss in the 86th minute.

Hull City (Snodgrass 79') 1 - 3 (19', 83'Sanchez; 55' Walcott) Arsenal: Gunners' response came inside four minutes. Then Alexis Sanchez made amends for his penalty miss earlier, with a perfectly measured kick, hitting the top right corner for Arsenal's third goal.

Hull City (Snodgrass 79') 1 - 2 (19' Sanchez; 55' Walcott) Arsenal: Robert Snodgrass converted from the spot to give  Hull a fighting chance against Arsenal. One on one, Petr Cech could only dive. Yellow card for him. Referee Roger East took some time to point towards the spot. Needed confirmation from his assistant.

Leicester City (Slimani 45+1', 48'; Mee (OG) 78') 3 - 0 Burnley FC: Then came an own goal. Poor Ben Mee.

Manchester City (de Bruyne 15'; Iheanacho 25'; Sterling 48'; Gundogan 66') 4 - 0 Bournemouth: New recruit Ilkay Gundogan joined the fun, scoring his first league goal for City. Brilliant assist from Kevin de Bruyne.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8', 56'; Rondon 38'; McClean 44') 4 - 2 (62' Antonio; 65' (P) Lanzini) West Ham: It's turning out to be a goal fest. Manuel Lanzini converted from the spot, and Hammers are fighting back.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8', 56'; Rondon 38'; McClean 44') 4 - 1 (62' Antonio) West Ham: Finally, some response from the Hammers. Dimitri Payet set up Michail Antonio for their first goal.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8', 56'; Rondon 38'; McClean 44') 4 - 0 West Ham: It's one way traffic at The Hawthorns. Fourth for West Brom, as Nacer Chadli got his second.

Hull City 0 - 2 (19'Sanchez; 55' Walcott) Arsenal: Theo Walcott scored to give Gunners a two goal lead. It was NOT given as an own goal, against Harry Maguire.

Leicester City (Slimani 45+1', 48') 2 - 0 Burnley FC: Second for Islam Slimani, this time assisted by Jamie Vardy.

Manchester City (de Bruyne 15'; Iheanacho 25'; Sterling 48') 3 - 0 Bournemouth: Great start to the second half for City. Raheem Sterling got his own, assisted by Kelechi Iheanacho.

FIRST-HALF

Leicester City (Slimani 45+1') 1 - 0 Burnley FC: Late goal for the champions at the King Power Stadium, thanks to Algerian forward Islam Slimani strike.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8'; Rondon 38'; McClean 44') 3 - 0 West Ham: Irish midfielder James McClean increased the lead, with the third goal resulting from a corner.

Hull City 0 - 1 (19' Sanchez) Arsenal: Penalty and red card. Hull defender Jake Livermore sent off, for handling inside the box. But Alexis Sanchez kick from the spot was saved by Swiss goalie Eldin Jakupovic, three minutes into regulation half-time.

Also, a sub for the 10-man home side. Tactical one, Harry Maguire. on for Adama Diomande.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8'; Rondon 38') 2 - 0 West Ham: West Brom doubled the lead with a Jose Rondon strike.

Hull City 0 - 1 (19' Sanchez) Arsenal: And the first yellow of the game to Santi Carzola of Arsenal for a lunge on Ahmed Al Muhammadi in the 34th minute.

Hull City 0 - 1 (19' Sanchez) Arsenal: Medical attention required. Nasty head on collision between Adama Diomande of Hull and Shkodran Mustafi of Arsenal at half hour mark.

Manchester City (de Bruyne 15'; Iheanacho 25') 2 - 0 Bournemouth: City stream rolling continues. Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead with a cool finish.

Hull City 0 - 1 (17' Sanchez) Arsenal: Lucky lead for Gunners. Committing men upfront produced results as a scrambled from Alexis Sanchez gave the opening goal, thanks to a deflection from Alex Iwobi's attempt.

Manchester City (de Bruyne 15') 1 - 0 Bournemouth: City opened the scoring, as expected, through Belgian work-horse Kevin De Bruyne. Brilliant free-kick.

Ten minutes to first-half actions, and West Brom only team to score so far.

West Brom (Chadli (P)8') 1 - 0 West Ham: Early call from referee Mark Clattenburg, and Nacer Chadli converted from the spot.

Interesting. Jack Wilshere gets full debut for Bournemouth against Manchester City, while his parent club Arsenal's attack is being lead by Alexis Sanchez.

Elsewhere, Barca trident Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez scored as the defending champions romped Leganes 5-1 in a La Liga encounter.

Manchester City will be without banned Sergio Aguero, who hit a hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach​ in their UEFA Champions League group game. Meanwhile, Everton midfielder Gareth Barry will be playing his 600th Premier League game today.

Another cracking round of Saturday football lines up with defending champions Leicester taking on Burnley, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City hosting Bournemouth and Arsenal traveling to Hull City. In day's other match-ups, West Ham will play West Brom at The Hawthorns and later Everton play Middlesbrough at home.

In Gameweek 5's first game, Liverpool beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday, and climbed to fourth position in league table. But it's City, still unbeaten, sitting pretty at the top, ahead of Everton and Chelsea.
