Greece midfielder Fotakis suffers knee injury

Warsaw : Greece manager Fernando Santos has been dealt another blow after Giorgos Fotakis suffered a knee injury in training on Sunday.

The PAOK midfielder is due to have a scan on Sunday to determine the extent on the setback, and could severely deplete the trainer`s options for the upcoming game with the Czech Republic.

The Greeks drew 1-1 with Poland in the opening game of Euro 2012 and had Sokratis Papastathopoulos harshly sent off before Avraam Papadopoulos was forced to leave the field on a stretcher.

It was claimed that Santos wanted Kostas Katsouranis to move back into the heart of the defence, with Fotakis the most likely reinforcement in central midfield.

However, if Fotakis does not recover in time, the Portuguese will have to do yet more reshuffling of personnel ahead of Tuesday`s encounter with Michal Bilek`s troops.
